Five Nations - U.S. wins Five Nations

 

Cedar Rapids, Iowa - August 27, 2017

Grant Silianoff (Edina, MN) scored with just under five minutes to play, giving the United States a 4-3 lead over the host Czech Republic it would not relinquish as the Under-17 Men's Select team won the Five Nations Tournament.  Defenseman Mitch Miller (Sylvania, OH) sealed the 5-3 victory with an empty net goal while goaltender Ethan Haider (Maple Grove, MN) got the win in goal.   

Silianoff finished the tournament with four goals and three assists while Miller added a pair of goals and three assists.  Haider finished the tournament 3-0.  All three are on the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders affiliate list.  

It was the third consecutive championship for the United States in the event.
