RoughRider Alumni Zach Miskovic Wins the AHL Calder Cup
Zach Miscovic, a RoughRider for three seasons (02-05), in his rookie season with the Hershey Bears has won the Calder Cup. Miscovic played four years of college hockey at St. Lawrence University where he notched 27 goals and 46 assists.
In his first professional season he played in 59 regular season games scoring 6 goals and 20 assists. The Hershey Bears, an affiliate of the Washington Capitals, has dominated the AHL in recent years winning two Calder Cups in a row and three in the last five years.
"We are very proud of Zach on his exceptional rookie season with the Hershey Bears and his outstanding four year college career at St. Lawrence. To win the Calder Cup in your rookie season is quite a start to his professional career," said Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson.
