RoughRiders Defenseman Looft Commits to Bemidji State

CEDAR RAPIDS- Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Kyle Looft has committed to play his college hockey at Bemidji State University.  Looft, from Mankato, Minnesota, was traded to the RoughRiders from Dubuque just prior to the 2017-2018 regular season beginning.  Looft is the 3rd RoughRiders defenseman on the teams current roster to have committed to Bemidji State, joining teammates Tyler Jubenvill and Will Zmolek.

“Great news for Kyle and his family.” said RoughRiders Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson.  “We’ve enjoyed having Kyle here in Cedar Rapids and we look forward to helping him develop on and off the ice.”

Looft split last season between his hometown Mankato West High and the Austin Bruins of the NAHL.
