RoughRiders Announce trade with Dubuque

CEDAR RAPIDS- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders announced today they have acquired defenseman Kyle Looft from the Dubuque Fighting Saints.  In exchange, Dubuque received the RoughRiders 2018 Phase II 7th round pick. 

Looft (6’3”, 185 lbs) was drafted by Dubuque in the 14th round of the 2017 Phase II USHL Draft.  He is a native of Mankato, Minnesota.  Looft skated in four preseason games for the Fighting Saints this fall. 

"We welcome Kyle Looft to the RoughRiders organization," said RoughRiders Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson.  "We are excited about his potential on the ice, what he will add to our D core and he will be a great addition to the dressing room as well."

The RoughRiders are entering their 19th season in Cedar Rapids and in the USHL. Their home opener will be Saturday, October 14th against the Omaha Lancers.  For more information call 319-247-0340.
