Cedar Rapids- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have announced a trade with the Des Moines Buccaneers that brings goaltender Christian Stoever (2000) to the Riders in exchange for forward TJ Walsh.
The 6’3” 195lb native of Northville, MI played last season for the Wilkes Barre / Scranton Knights of the North American Hockey League where he appeared in 34 regular season games during the regular season, and 7 playoff games compiling a 1.86 GAA in the post season.  He was also named to the NAHL East All Rookie Team.
“We’d like to welcome Christian to the Roughriders organization. He’s had a very good season in Wilks-Barre of the NAHL and has an excellent history as a goaltender. We look forward to meeting Christian at camp May 31st,” said Rider Head Coach and General Manager, Mark Carlson.
