Norwalk, Connecticut – 04/20/17
The Connecticut RoughRiders® Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHL-P) team is pleased to announce the signing of Jeremy Thelvén, goaltender, ‘98, from Täby, Sweden for the 2017-18 Season.
Thelvén played the last four seasons at North Yarmouth Academy in Yarmouth, ME. He led all goaltenders in the Prep School - Holt Conference this past season with a .925 Save Pecentage.
“Jeremy brings with him years of experience at the US Prep School level for us next season and is poised for a successful EHL campaign for the RoughRiders. He has an extremely quick reactionary skill set combined with great athleticism.” said CT RoughRiders Associate Head Coach Steven Brown.
Jeremy’s father Michael Thelvén is a former professional Swedish ice hockey player who played for the Boston Bruins for five seasons in his 11 year pro career. Michael won an IIHF World Junior Championship Gold Medal and his Swedish pro team Djurgårdens IF won the Swedish Hockey League Championships as well. He also was a member Team Sweden in the famous Canada Cup 1987, a tournament that ended with a bronze medal for the Swedish team. He was forced to end his career due to a knee injury.
We are looking forward to having Jeremy here next season.
