RMRR - RoughRiders Well Represented in 2017 WHL Draft

The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders would like to congratulate the following players and their families from the U14 team for being selected in the Western Hockey League Draft.  

Players eligible for the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft were 2002-born players residing in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.  In total, 230 players were drafted over 14 rounds of selections, including 126 forwards, 83 defencemen and 21 goaltenders.

True Crowe a 6'0" defenceman from Greeley, CO was selected in the 6th round with the 122nd overall pick by the Tri-City Americans.

Aidan Thompson a 5'7" forward from Ft. Collins, CO was selected in the 7th round with the 143rd overall pick by the Portland Winterhawks.

Caleb Brownell a 6'2" defenceman from Ft. Collins, CO was selected in the 8th round with the 174th overall pick by the Everett Silvertips.

Trey Hirschfield a 6'3" goalie from Littleton, CO was selected in the 10th round with the 205th overall pick by the Calgary Hitmen.
